COVID-19 UPDATES (25/06):

At Smart Hostels, we keep monitoring the situation and are adapting the way in which we operate to comply with government guidelines and the advice of Public Health England. Some of our hostels are still opened as

everyone needs a safe place to stay in London and we are fully prepared and ready to welcome you!

YOUR NEXT STAY WITH US:

1. Bed reduction in our rooms:

To satisfy safety guidelines, we have had to reduce the number of beds available in some of our rooms.This will give you extra space and a greater degree of comfort.  We will only increase the number of beds when it safe to do so.

2. Deep cleaning of the room:

We will be implementing the deep cleaning of all beds after each checkout which will be done using a virucidal chemical cleaning solution.

3. Staff training:

Everyday our staff  are working hard to follow the highest hygiene standards. We are also working with Public Health England to ensure that all necessary measures to meet the current emergency safety standards  are implemented at all our hostels and our staff are fully trained.

4. Emergency measures:

In the unlikely event of a guest becoming unwell, we have a strict isolation procedure in place. We have special rooms assigned in each of our hostels to ensure the guest is fully isolated and other guests are unaffected.

Common areas:

1. Social distancing signage

Everywhere within each of our hostel buildings Social distancing signage  and must be respected  at all times by guests and staff.

2. Reception Staff

Reception staff will be situated behind clear plastic screens to protect both themselves and our guests during check-in/checkout.

3. Temperature check 

Temperature will be taken by every new guest upon arrival.  Staff will be checked daily.

4. Hand Sanitisers:

There are Hand sanitisers at each entrance point.  Guests must use it whenever they leave or enter the hostel building.

5. Common areas seating:

Common area seating  will be limited in line with the social distancing guidelines.

6. Kitchen:

We have limited the amount of people allowed in the kitchen at the same time.

7. Housekeeping team and maintenance:

Housekeeping and maintenance staff will be  wearing face masks  at all times when working in any of our hostels.

8. Door handles and staircase handrails:

Door handles and staircase handrails  will be  cleaned regularly with a virucidal chemical.

9. Breakfast:

Breakfast will be limited and served by pre-booked slots.  All staff will wear masks whilst serving food & drinks.

10. Mask

Mask will be available for purchase from reception for your own personal  use at a subsidised rate .

CANCELLATIONS:

With the sudden and unexpected COVID19 outbreak, we understand that are our guests have been caught off guards and has led to a high level of uncertainty. Therefore, we are regularly updating our cancellation policy to accommodate those of our guests who have been affected as follows :

- Individual bookings:

All individual bookings made before 01/04/2020 are now subject to a fully flexible policy (this allows for free cancellation until 1 day before arrival). Currently our non-refundable policy is suspended until further notice.

- Group bookings:

For group reservations, our policy differs and organizers  should contact our reservation department for more informaion, Thank you
